nanoprobe,

Try this (it may not make any difference): Set WCG to No New Tasks and see if it will report the completed ones.

The feeder fills the shared memory so the scheduler can send out new tasks. By setting it to No New Tasks, you may eliminate the feeder since the client won't be requesting new tasks.

If it does report the completed ones, then enable work fetch and see if you can get any new tasks.

Please note, if multiple people were seeing this recently, then there could be a little bit of a log jam if this clears it up. Please let me know what you are seeing from your end if you don't mind.

I know members may see something like this:

"We are currently experiencing high load and are temporarily deferring your scheduler request. Your client will automatically try again later."

Still seeing same error. Selecting "no new tasks" did not help.

Tasks are now uploading but now I'm getting a download error fro new tasks.

Problem seems to have cleared. Tasks all reported and new tasks are downloading. Thanks Keith.

Yup, basically yesterday when we were working on the email problem, we stopped the webservers on all but the final backup one which does not have the feeder running on it (it can, but it is not configured to run but on the primary with manual fail over to other servers first). But when we fired up the other servers the load balancers were continuing to send your requests to the last server it was in contact with. Since we never stopped the webserver there, the load balancer tried to continue the connections to that server first for those hosts that contacted during the time it was the only one running.

Basically connections that happened during a short period of time, got stuck going to the wrong server. I have triggered them to go to the primary first now.

Aaargh, one of my computers seems to have got stuck pointing to this final backup server again, so no work flowing to it since late yesterday sad

The event log is again full of the following entries:

23/01/2015 10:25:17 | World Community Grid | Requesting new tasks for CPU

23/01/2015 10:25:19 | World Community Grid | Server error: feeder not running


I guess I just have to wait for the load balancer to get kicked so I can get more WU.
