It occurred from time to time during the night, worked Ok this morning and occurs again now


You have a different problem. Apparently a task has been suspended, either by you or by BOINC. hen there is a suspended task, completed WU will not be reported until that task is either resumed or waiting to run. Check the "status" column in the advanced view to see if this is the case..

the fact that some tasks are suspended never prevent completed tasks to be reported in the past.
And feeder message occurred also when requesting tasks:

Sgt.Joe was indeed half correct:

1) If any task in ready to start or in progress state is suspended, new work will not be requested, just as the message said "Not requesting tasks: some task is suspended via Manager".

2) Work not suspended will run, complete and report as normal, per client preferences.

3) When work fetch is suspended, also indicated in a "Not requesting tasks:..." log entry, completed jobs are, depending on client version, reported by priority, i.e. immediately or as soon as a server back-off has counted down completely.

Would be nice if this was fixed for me for the weekend otherwise it will be another couple of days of wasted CPU time. I've got almost a days full event log of:

I have checked the feeder, it is running. I'm not sure exactly, why some members were still stuck on one of the alternate machines that can run the feeder. I have turned off httpd there and it should force trigger membes to go to the primary again.

Please let me know if this helps correct your issue with an error showing the feeder not running.

Just checked the computer which was experiencing the issue and it managed to report old WU and grab new ones a when it last attempted, about 5 minutes ago.
