Keep us updated! Yep, will do...I seem to have fixed my issue: Took out all components and then put them in one by one, and power usage never crossed 74 watts while running BOINC. I then overclocked to 3510MHZ and it is using 91-93 watts while BOINC is running for a total of 120 watts with the monitor on. that sounds like heaven to use that little! My opteron systems uses just under 600 watts each!Not too bad. I am now using an athlon II X2 4450e which was using almost 200 watts the other day... (I took out the phenom a week ago, 266 watts with BOINC was too much) Still the output is well worth it...

It's arrived! Just getting all the components out to put it together. Really easy as it's the 4 nodes and 2 PSU's to insert then power up one at a time, install configure os etc and off we go!

Well all up and running! Unfortunately, I can't run all the nodes until I take it to the data centre during next week sometime as time permits as it's just way too noisy when all nodes are running flat out!
----------------------------------------Still here are some power stats:
running all 4 nodes - Idle - 400 watts running 3 idle/1 Active - 535 watts running 2 idle/2 Active - 665 watts running 1 idle/3 active - 770 watts Running all 4 active - 905 watts As I increased the number of nodes running/active the noise from the fans increased too. Once all four had been running for a few minutes the fans really got to work! The spec of each node is:
48 Gb RAM 100 Gb SSD basic onboard graphics Ubuntu 13.1 Desktop (doesn't need server version as only 2 CPUs) Some system! I'm really looking forward to getting this system fully up and running. With 96 threads all crunching at the same time, the combined output should be impressive, even by the standards of my latest hardware! After I move this to the Data Centre and get some stats returned, I'll post some stats here... Watch this space

Finally managed to install at the DC, first results should be in with the midnight update, although I don't expect many. however, the update tomorrow night should be good!

I'm very curious as to what one of these beasts can do to your stats! I have this running on my other account collecting XRP's checkout this Link - Here This is just one of the nodes, there are 4 all the same, you can back track through theFree-DC stats to see the rest...Edit - It's worth keeping in mind these nodes only come online over night, they crunch 24/7 but only upload over night. I'm keeping an eye as I'm curious too!
