The following figures are based on a total number of work units of 530,000,000 from cubes (project scientist) with the addition of Seippel (WCG tech).
----------------------------------------Hello all, We've received an update on the estimate batch count from the researchers that has added another 9000 batches making the new estimate 26,500 batches. However, this is only an estimate (a lot can change in the almost one year it will take to complete these new batches). Also, the progress bar on the webpage has been updated accordingly. Thanks, Seippel Last 30 day average results:550,183 Estimated end date using 30 day average: August 24, 2016 Percent Complete:74.09476% The average length of a WU is currently running about 3.61 hours, less than last week. If I look at the latest batch I have received, 19621, that would be about 74.04% complete. We are at about 8.32 more months (approx. 250 days)of additional crunching at the current recent run rate. The days in the past week ,on average, had shorter run times than the week before. The projected completion date has increased just a bit since last week. Production increased a bit this past week going from about 3.63 million WU's to 3.71 million WU's completed. Remember, the situation can change at any time and these are only estimates. The MCM team has provided a new update which can be found here ![]() ![]()

The completion of a project will then put additional computing resources to the remaining project. You also have the SXSW conference that WCG will be a presenter at; that too could bring additional computing resources and reduce timelines. |

There is being selected as being a featured presenter but there are other opportunities to speak at SXSW. WCG could also still setup a booth there. Chances are, IBM should have been the one pushing since a big name like IBM would surely have been selected. The likes of Facebook and Pinterest were selected and IMO, they have nothing of value to add.
