At the present rate it will still be about another 2 years to finish the project. Full speed ahead. That's 4 months later than when you first started monitoring MCM production, mostly explained by the continuing drop off of the Ripple teams crunching. Unfortunately so. I was hoping you would throw on another couple of cores and pick up the slack. Cheers

It was near the end of March when it was announced that Ripple was leaving. On April 7th is when MCM1 was temporarily disabled and has never been full-speed since. Look at the years to completion chart, after April 8th is when it started its upward ascent. |

May 17, 2014 Update
----------------------------------------The following figures are based on a total number of work units of 350,000,000 from cubes. Last 30 day average results: 353,532 Estimated end date using 30 day average: May 26, 2016 Percent Complete: 25.18951 % The average length of a WU is currently running about 3.61 hours. At the present rate it will still be about another 2 years to finish the project. We have now passed the 25% mark - more than one quarter finished by result. Full speed ahead. Cheers

As it dropped lower priority in the feeder the expected completion date kept being pushed back. Last week-ish Sgt.Joe's update showed May 30, 2016 and now it shows May 26, 2016; a sign it has stabilized. Very nice to see that.
----------------------------------------Thanks again for the updates Sgt.Joe! ![]() |

Just completed a result 0004411_9252 _ 0 where we know each batch has 10000 blobs that have a quorum 2. This puts the circulated originals at 88220000. The big question is, where is 4411 placing the project in progress? The 350 million was a broad generalized calculation afaicr. Is it we're still computing the first of 4 experiments, the first experiment having 2 targets iirc? Think wcg and scientists should by now be able to tell us more accurately where we're standing 1/4 into the project to make this charting and eop calculating less guessy.

It would be nice to hear from the researchers occasionally, so if there are changes to the project. I could make adjustments to my estimation process. Besides, it has been a while since we have heard anything from them. Cheers

Hello All,
The research scientists are working on their next project update now and we should have it shortly. Thanks. Tedi |

The WU's for the past 5-days or so seem to behave a bit differently than the previous ones, so I think we have indeed completed all of the lung cancer WU's. By behaving differently, they are slower to increment but go in larger increments compared to the previous batches. The result files are the same though; usually between 148 and 150 bytes.
Until the scientists make their statement this is all just speculation though. |

Technicians and volunteers would all wish the result files were that tiny, 148-150 byte, then the proect could run uninhibited by storage space concerns.
