Re: MCM Progress Reports

Hi Sgt.Joe,

Estimated end date using 30 day average: 10-02-2015
I'm assuming that this is in the USA date format of MM-DD-CCYY (i.e., 2nd of Oct 2015), and not in the European format of DD-MM-CCYY (which would be the 10th of Feb 2015). As I'm sure you'll be able to tell, there's an 8 month difference if people just quickly scans the dates in these formats, which is quite some difference...

I have edited my post and changed the date format for clarity. Hope this helps. Thanks for bring this to my attention.

Good to see that we agree on the estimated date of completion, even if we differ on how to express it! smile Us Brits and our quaint ways. wink

It's worth pointing out that the rate of validated MCM jobs has slackened off recently. This is reflected in the narrower view based on a 14day average which returns Nov 20 2015.

Yes it has. I also am keeping some 7 day average completion data, but I decided not to put it in the post as I think it will be be too "bumpy," but it does more readily reflect any ups and downs in the completion rate. I thought the 30 day average would be a good smoothing device, but I can easily change to a 20 or 15 day average or anything else. Right now the we have the benefit of the "Ripple Effect" but that may change over time. I am always open to suggestions on what else people may want to know.
Cheers

Re: MCM Progress Reports - January 31 Update

January 31, 2014 update:

The following figures are based on a total number of work units of 350,000,000 from cubes.

Last 30 day average results: 492,133
Estimated end date using 30 day average: October 30, 2015
Percent Complete: 10.42 %

It is interesting to note the average length of a WU has ticked up to 7.29 hours, which is one reason the number of completed WU's has declined slightly. The last couple of weeks it has been running about 5.5 to 6.5 hours.
Cheers
