I will be selling some HP XW8600's soon, they are dual xeon/4 core/8 thread systems very high benchmark within Boinc up in the 16k range.

If the XW8600 is using harpertowns, they don't have hyperthreading. What processors are they?

If the XW8600 is using harpertowns, they don't have hyperthreading. What processors are they? Bearcat, you are correct, no HT, A mix (in different boxes) of X & E 5450's quad core, 2 in each box!

Mamajuanauk - I tried to come up with something for thenew machine but the only thing that I liked isn't really apposite - Blade Runner. But those are not blades in the front, they're vertical disk slots.

No problem, thanks for trying, I think it's going to be 'MegaCruncher' so I'll start a new thread in that name and start posting to it, the parts are starting to arrive! I'm getting really excited about this beast! Looking forward to the build and tracking the PPD/PPW/ results etc! Keep an eye out for the new thread...
