Re: Welcome to Mapping Cancer Markers

So, we are crunching for....??

Of course this is from MCM, what makes you think otherwise?
Ralf

Yes, we are crunching for MCM.
But seems that our effort do not produce scientific results.

Re: Welcome to Mapping Cancer Markers

So is there any life in this (or any other) project? Not had work units since the downtime.

This does sound rather unsettling. The updates that get released every 1-2-3 months seem to suggest that we're not completely wasting our time, energy and money on MCM but if really nothing comes of all this, even calculating asteroid shapes would be a better use of CPU power.

Re: Welcome to Mapping Cancer Markers

Re "Scientific results"...

Perhaps we should think of exercises such as MCM and the upcoming MAM as more like building a dictionary than questing for solutions -- it's not the same as the various [usually AutoDock based] applications we've seen over the years here.

As such, I reckon the results are more likely to either help in diagnosis or by suggesting targets for different research.

Just an opinion, of course...

Cheers - Al.

This would be more than enough for me, if someone from the team actually told us that there's a good chance (or even better, certainty) that MCM/MAM results will be further used somewhere.
Either way I'm standing by and will keep WCG running in 2nd place behind SiDock.
