Re: Welcome to Mapping Cancer Markers

Excited to be part of this. I was just diagnosed with ovarian/uterine/stomach cancers. Had major surgery to remove the cancers, start chemo next week. Thank you to all the hero's on here helping out. Today is my first day doing this.

Re: Welcome to Mapping Cancer Markers

If it is due to funding to research and then create the GPU version then I proposed there be a GoFundMe style drive to get the $$ needed. I would throw in $100 to start.

rose Re: Welcome to Mapping Cancer Markers- why we should try to make a GPU version now, as the GPU version of OPN is new and fresh!!

Greetings, HGRAY515

Thank you for being willing to donate.

But probably it would be a good thing to have a clear singal of the MCM researcher team
that they want a GPU version of their code.

In my view, it would be good if they contacted the group at TU Darmstadt that made the GU version of OPN possible.

I would urgently ask them not to wait too long with the decision.

The transfer of OPN to GPU has been done very recently, and the knowledge of how to do it is very fresh and the group has probably good contacts to each other.

So, please think about the GPU version now, not later.

It will be easier now, not later
Hoping for a reaction

At the time that MCM started, crunchers wondered whether it could use GPUs as its predecessor project, Help Conquer Cancer (HCC) had done. The answer, which as I recall came direct from the researchers, was no.

Sorry to hear of your illness. I wish for you the best of outcomes with the least amount of problems.

Re: Welcome to Mapping Cancer Markers

Hi. Is it possible to identify the scientific publications from 2020 related to BOINC? Some publications cite "IBM" in the "Acknowledgement" section.

Jurisicalab publications (Journals section):

No. There are no publications that cite (explicitly) MCM in the last 4/5 years.

All the references, in this link, are not related to MCM.

So, we are crunching for....??

Of course this is from MCM, what makes you think otherwise?
