Dr. Jurisica,
Thank you for coming to WCG with your project. As you will see, some of us are forever curious about the projects we crunch and look forward to hearing more about this one. Good luck, and I hope the results are worthy. |

Very exciting project. Let’s hope we find much useful data.

Thank you for bringing new cancer research project to WCG.
I will return WU that I have from other projects and will concentrate my efforts on this one. Hopefully you will be successful with porting this to GPU as well. Wish you all the best! |

GPU is not supported on this project. We are still VERY early in the game to see if this code will work well ported to use the GPU. If you are looking for a time table as to when this would go to GPU if possible, I do not know. Thanks, -Uplinger For any new projects that do support GPUs, I was wondering if they will automatically be used if we have GPU computation enabled and are using boinc v 7 or above. I've been assuming the answer is yes but and that we don't have to do custom config files like last time but it'd be nice to know definitely since I'm not always on the forum and wouldn't want to miss anything. There has been a request to make it so members can select which GPU project they wish to contribute to. But right now the website only has a switch for GPU in general. So your assumption of yes is correct as long as you have Mapping Cancer Markers (MCM) selected in your My Projects list. Thanks, -Uplinger |

Uplinger: Cool. Thanks. That's all I really cared about but thanks for the additional info.

Great that this project again/still support Win2000 Server...official or not :P :) Still have a very stable Webserver with a core2duo 6420 on this OS. There are several (real usefull science) Projects witch does not "support" Windows 2000 anymore like rosetta :(

Where can I find more technical information about this project? What is the current used compiler (for example Clang, Intel or Microsoft)? Which programming language is used (latest C++11 or an older version)? Are modern CPU architectures supported (SSE, AVX, AVX2)?
