Concerned to see my Team UK Pts rank number has turned red! I've glanced over my shoulder to see the ominously sounding s1lentkille7 creeping up on me. I think I'm doomed.  Had @mac1 in my rear view mirror but happy to report he's now getting smaller! |

You've inspired me to increase the length of the lists on the stats site GB033533. Instead of 25, it now displays 50 team members for the current 7-day league tables, and 100 members for the all-time figures. He's behind you! ps. If anyone now thinks the "Rankings" screen loads too slowly, please let me know, or even better, give me £12,500 to have a dedicated fibre run to my house!

I'm getting 500mbs full fibre in about 12 days time. Can get 900mbs once I convince the wife that we don't need a house phone line, we all have mobiles.

Had @mac1 in my rear view mirror but happy to report he's now getting smaller!I should never have mentioned my set-up.  Nah seriously though it's amazing you can run so many of them, I think I've reached the maximum I can get away with for a home set-up and I'll be looking to drop the Apollo server in the spring if you're still interested in that. The 8260M's don't seem to be making much sense, about 15% more crunching than the QL1K's for about three times the cost and 15% more power, perhaps for other applications the performance scales better with power consumption but for WCG it's flat so they're on Ebay.

We have just commissioned a new server for building software at work... dual AMD EPYC 7552 processors, with 192 logical cores between them, and 256GB of RAM. I offered to test it using WCG, but the sys admin guy unsportingly declined. That would have put me at the top of the league tables, I reckon

----------------------------------------I've just had some beta OpenPandemics units come through that use the GPU. First time ever (for me) on WCG. Sadly, they only ran for about a minute, so not big points scorers I guess.

I've never had a gpu unit. On a different DC project I did, and I swear it broke my graphics card, at that time there was not a lot of cooling on them, never played games right after that. Now days it is a different story and this should not happen.
