I've just staggered past 28 years for MCM. At the current rate, I'll get my Diamond 50 in 7 years time. Clearly I must try harder.

Afternoon all.
----------------------------------------I hope everyone is fit and well, or at least as much as possible. Great to see some new arrivals to the team, welcome aboard. Also good to see the team progressing nicely. It's been a while since my last visit here, will try to pop my head around the door a bit more often. Today's lunchtime update has taken me to 25 years of RT for WCG, when I started 9 and half years ago it was a RT figure that seems miles out of reach. |

Hi Guys,
----------------------------------------Thanks for the warm welcome. WCG was not really supported that much at our existing team, UK BOINC Team (UBT), so we decided to join the UK team as it has much more support for this important project. We will hopefully be running our full CPU setup on WCG under UK Team for the foreseeable future, and may possible even add some new AMD Thread Ripper 1950x's CPUs at a later date. (16C/32T @ 4GHz) Unfortunately WCG will be the only project we run under this team as UBT has very strong standings within the other projects. I will be sure to check out our stats/rankings at the excellent UK team website. ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by ncoded.com at Oct 8, 2018 3:16:43 PM] |

Very happy to hear that and once again very pleased to have you and UBT John R all here.
---------------------------------------- I always hoped the UK teams would consolidate, a lot of the other countries are only running one very strong team each and benefiting for it. It'll be good with your help to elevate this team into the world top 30's... (currently 42nd) and beyond... At the end of the day this is a UK BOINC team too, just with a focus on WCG. I did consider joining the UBT before but Dave's (dcrobinson) stat's swung it for me to pitch up here. That being said some of us might have GPU's that can be put to use on other UBT projects too if you have suggestions!? ![]()

Hi Andy,
----------------------------------------Yeah I agree on both points. Hopefully with the additional WCG crunching the UK team can substantially move up the World rankings. I would say if anyone wants to support UBT on any GPU projects then just crunch whichever ones you like as they like to 'support' all of them. ![]() [Edit 4 times, last edit by ncoded.com at Oct 8, 2018 11:19:55 PM] |

Thanks guys for the kind words about my stats website. I've had a rubbish couple of days at work, fighting off a cold and a bullying boss. I got home last night with a temperature and severe attack of the despair squid, and I looked at this forum and it really cheered me up.

You could leave cryptic rude messages about him in your comments :) ![]() |
