Good morning, team, and welcome to a glorious Friday!
----------------------------------------![]() I mean, it's absolutely pouring down with rain and I feel amazingly run-down, but I've just finished another week of on-call for work so can look forward to a nice lazy weekend to recuperate! ![]() ![]() |

Good Morning all.
----------------------------------------A traumatic (computer wise) week has passed. I decided to update my iMac to MacOS High Sierra (10.13.0) and duly (at my normal snails pace) downloaded the installer. The new OS bricked my iMac! It entered and endless loop which culminated each time in the following message com.apple. DiskManagement error 0. Trawling through the Apple community support, surprise surprise - I was not alone. To recover I fortunately had a copy of MacOS Sierra which I had to put on a bootable USB. Finally after about 8 hours of struggling (64 CPU core hours) I recovered my iMac. All that wasted crunching time. I now understand that Apple (while not acknowledging a fault) is issuing MacOS High Sierra 10.13.1. Needless to say I shall be waiting to see if there are any faults with the new issue before I upgrade but my trusty bootable USBs are ready.

That doesn't sound like a fun upgrade-experience, Rod! My work Macbook is running El Capitan, and will continue to do so until it breaks (or I get categorically told to update it).

Good morning all. Suffering from F1 self inflicted injury as I was awake at 02:00 - 03:30 this morning listening to FP 3 and then I got up at 04:45 to listen to qualifying for 1h 30m. Finished a bottle (or two) of wine in the process so I feel rough. A repeat is on the cards at 02:45 tomorrow morning to listen to the race.
----------------------------------------PS Welcome to the mad house Blackstarr911. We hope to see some posts from you in the future.
