Just about to settle down and watch the Italian GP, Go Lewis :)

I have only been in the US once, had a 4 day stop-over in LA on my way to Canada back in 1979. No trouble getting through security then. My last two journeys on a plane (which may have been a short while apart) involved vastly different security experiences... - June 1992, Manchester to Bangor (Maine) to Orlando (Florida), before they could do the flight in one go. Stopped off at Bangor for refueling, everyone allowed off the plane to wander around the airport for an hour (got to see a massive Antonov there), back on with very few checks, and check-in at Orlando was pretty straight-forward, too. Fast forward a "few" years... - April 2016, Manchester to Edinburgh for a work-conference. Get to Manchester airport, after being told I could take very few bottled fluids, spray-deodorant was a big no-no, and so on. Get to the security-line, get told to take my shoes and belt off - sorry, what now? OK, this is a little different than I remember from the last time I flew anywhere, and it's not making me want to fly anywhere again, thanks! ![]() ![]() |

Good morning all. The MIPS do seem to be in short supply.

Good morning all. There is a thread on the MIPS forum regarding the dearth of work units. It seems that quite a few people with shortages are blaming Marist College (!00 years diamond for MIPS) who have crunched over 47% of the available WUs. Nevertheless they are in general shoprt supply and I am getting SCC:MIPS ratio of about 13:1 I have only just gained my Bronze Badge and am expecting at least two weeks before my Silver (45 days).

Good morning all.
----------------------------------------I have only 76 MIPS in progress out of a grand total of 1400 WUs (all SCC). That's now a ratio of 17.42:1 SCC:MIPS. There does not seem to be any PV Jail associated with MIPS so at least credit is instant but generally lower than the 25 / h that we enjoy with other projects. Ah well - crunch on regardless.

I'm less than a day away from the Gold badge for MIP1, but it hasn't updated in the last two updates - work is very scarce for it, it seems!
