Great qualifying Yes it was but I haven't seen it as I can only get the commentary in the car. I have now downloaded it and will watch history being made!

Good afternoon everyone. Sounds like you had a great time at the air show Darkmatter.NI. I went to one at Farnborough a terribly long time ago, when the "Eurofighter" was a static prototype exhibit
---------------------------------------- .I've just booked a short (4 night) holiday, starting 2 weeks today. We were originally planning to spend a few days in East Sussex/Kent/Suffolk... but once we started looking we were basically appalled at the price of the half-decent hotels. Anyway, we've found a compact and intimate hotel, in a place with plenty to see and do... it's the 54 storey Hyatt in Times Square NYC !!!

Hi Dave, Have a great time in NYC, you can even catch an NHL Ice hockey game. Both the NY Rangers and NY Islanders are decent teams.

I don't think we'll manage a day exursion to Bolivia during a four night stay in New York, but it's a very kind offer. Our ESTAs are applied for, although for some reason my ISP refused to connect me to the US government payment portal, and I had to use a VPN to my office in order to actually complete the application process. I wonder if anyone ever answers "Yes" to the "Are you a terrorist?" question?

Good morning all.
----------------------------------------Dave & Diane (right spelling this time - shows I'm observant) - I will be very interested to hear your experience with immigration in the USA. I am told that they ask for passwords and user names of facebook accounts and conduct a trawl through your telephone to look for 'Anti Usa' material. I really try to avoid any form of travel through the USA, I dislike airport security at the best of times and my experience with the security in Newark and Houston more recentltly was unpleasant to say the least.

They ask you for your social media account names on the ESTA, but you don't have to provide it. I don't believe they force you to hand over your Facebook password at the airport. In any case, the only thing that knows my password is Google!

Sorry, couldn't help it:
ESTA asks if you ever overstayed your visa. Being honest, I ticked: "Yes". It said: "Are you really sure you want to say yes?" (As if it didn't want all that extra work this would mean) So I ticked "No", and it was satisfied and approved me |
