Re: Good morning everyone

Good Morning All and thank you for your concern. I'm now back in Santa Cruz at a reasonable altitude and after a good nights sleep feel a lot better.I think that being at altitude (3,800m or 4,100m if you include the airport) magnifies any small illnesses (and hangovers) to such an extent that you really feel that you cannot and do not want to move. This was the first time that I have been affected in this way and I wondered if it was because I tried a new tablet to help (Punacap). That may have contributed to some of the other sysmptoms.

Nevertheless - I am back in action and all my computers are crunching 24/7 again.

Thanks everyone.

Re: Good morning everyone

Afternoon, team!

Glad to hear you're feeling better, Rod, that can't have been a very nice experience! sad

And it looks like I'm not going to be achieving a Diamond-10 badge for SCC, as it looks like the work is already drying up for it!

Good evening all,

I hope everyone is keeping well? Happy to announce that I am starting to ramp up performance a little for the team.

Good evening / morning all

Glad to hear you're feeling better, Rod, that can't have been a very nice experience! sad

Thanks Thargor, it was supposed to be a family / fun weekend with a visit to lake Titicaca for lunch on the Sunday - I didn't make it!

And it looks like I'm not going to be achieving a Diamond-10 badge for SCC, as it looks like the work is already drying up for it!

Now that surprises me what you are saying because as far as i thought SCC dried up ages ago. They say in their 'Research' bulletin that they have a limited number of new targets but at this moment no date when they will be uploaded. Good luck in your quest!

Re: Good morning everyone

I'm glad you are fine Rod, I was really worried about you.

I'm going to wait to see how the new AMD Ryzen and Epic processors compare to the new intels before buying my new sysstem. Intel has the higher IPC but AMD has the core advantage.
Things are trickier than I envisioned, AMD processors have to have a lower memory speed when using a lot of memory and only 12 CPUs at a time can clock at the highest speed, which is strange.

Re: Good morning everyone

I guess, with SCC drying (dried?) up on new work-units, I'll go with working towards OET1 Diamond-10 and MCM Diamond-100! biggrin
