Good Morning All

I know I was premature Rod, I congratulated you because I knew your reply would be the 1000th post ... biggrin

Ah there is no fooling you Tom! I've ruined it now - a nice pristine 1000 becomes a slightly messy 1001 - OCD Me???

Re: Good morning everyone

Good evening all.

Here's a nostalgia question - does anyone remember the advertisement that mentioned the number 1001, what did it do and how much did it cost?

Answers tomorrow evening. smile

I don't know you're both on about. Was it in black and white?

Re: Good morning everyone

Just watched a 1001 commercial on youtube, extremely cringe worthy.

That was Pepsodent Tom 'You'll wonder where the yellow went when you brush your teeth with Pepsodent'. Of course you are exactly right with the 1001 product but my memory says that it cleaned a big big carpet for less than half a crown. I wonder how many people in the group remember half a crown coins?

Ah nostalgia isn't what it used to be!

Re: Good morning everyone

Given that half-crowns were discontinued in 1967, that's me out, I wasn't born until the following decade! biggrin
