You are right Rod it was less than half a crown. Probably 2 and 5...
I remember spending a farthing, actually a ha'penny and a farthing, about 1953, to buy an oxo cube. They were 2 for three ha'pence but mum only wanted one and sent me to the shop. |

More like Intels first range :)
----------------------------------------I never used such coinage, I left the UK in 1971 at the tender age of 5. Was always used to Cents and Dollars. According to the commercial I saw it was 2' 6' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3wacuIsdug The cringe worthy commercial is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EldXKLtoZEk ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by Darkmatter.NI at Jul 12, 2017 11:43:55 PM] |

I really don't know what you're all on about. I expect you'll be fondly remembering the "ten bob note" next.
----------------------------------------On WCG matters, I now have a Diamond 5 for FAAH... that's a heck of a lot of 5 minute work units ![]()

Good Evening All.
----------------------------------------I really don't know what you're all on about. I expect you'll be fondly remembering the "ten bob note" next. On WCG matters, I now have a Diamond 5 for FAAH... that's a heck of a lot of 5 minute work units ![]() Oh you callow youth DR! Just for that I shall recount having found a 10 Bob note down the side of a seat in the London Underground. In those days it was riches indeed. By the way I can still remember the Farthing too - it had a picture of a wren on the tails side. Congratulations on your 'Diamond 5' at 5 minutes per WU that should work out as 525,960 results - somewhat more than your 210,011 that you last reported.
