Re: Good morning everyone

You are right Rod it was less than half a crown. Probably 2 and 5...
I remember spending a farthing, actually a ha'penny and a farthing, about 1953, to buy an oxo cube. They were 2 for three ha'pence but mum only wanted one and sent me to the shop.

Re: Good morning everyone

More like Intels first range :)

I never used such coinage, I left the UK in 1971 at the tender age of 5.
Was always used to Cents and Dollars.

According to the commercial I saw it was 2' 6'

Re: Good morning everyone

I really don't know what you're all on about. I expect you'll be fondly remembering the "ten bob note" next.
On WCG matters, I now have a Diamond 5 for FAAH... that's a heck of a lot of 5 minute work units smile

Good Evening All.

Oh you callow youth DR! Just for that I shall recount having found a 10 Bob note down the side of a seat in the London Underground. In those days it was riches indeed. By the way I can still remember the Farthing too - it had a picture of a wren on the tails side.
Congratulations on your 'Diamond 5' at 5 minutes per WU that should work out as 525,960 results - somewhat more than your 210,011 that you last reported.

WUs used to be considerably longer for FA@H, as per my Diamond-20 stats:

FightAIDS@Home : 22,466,447 : 64,887 : 20:228:18:18:22

The VINA ones take anywhere from 5 minutes to about 30 minutes, and the other ones over 10 hours smile
