Morning all.
----------------------------------------It's a grey rainy start to the day but as I was hoping I have got my 10yr Diamond for MCM on last nights stats update. Glad I made it before the project finishes which at present will be in the next month or so. Will put some resources towards UGM to see how close I can get to the next milestone before that project finishes. Here we go for the start of a new working week but before we start there's time finish off a brew ![]() |

Well done with your first Diamond 10 genhos, and on a project close to my heart too. Great job. I'm pushing towards my Diamond 5 on UGM. I should hit it towards the end of next week, all being well. I'm not sure what to go for after that.

Good morning all. It's somewhat dull here too although it is forecast to warm up (35) later.
----------------------------------------I must admit to frustration with weather forecasts here - they seem so inaccurate, particularly when rainfall is concerned (which, because of the garden) is of great interest to me. The locals shrug their shoulders and blame everything on 'El NiƱo' which I suppose is exactly what the weather forecasters do in the UK. Of more concern are the reports that the UK is due a real doozy (technical term) of a winter due to the reduction of flow in the gulf stream due to fresh water in the Atlantic conveyor current. Perhaps we should call it Brrrrrexit?

I've not heard about the "real doozy" of a winter. Presumably that's being reported in the Daily Express? TBH, a cold winter would be nice (other than the increased gas bill). This is from someone who normally walks to work, who prefers cold and clear to mild and damp.
----------------------------------------The demise of the North Atlantic thermohaline circulation has been predicted for a long time, and I believe it was recently proven to be slowing down. Fortunately, Donald Trump is going to come to the rescue and save us all by building an array of wind turbines along the entire length of the wall between the US and Mexico.

@DC, MCM has been my main project for quite a while now, with the dreaded "C word" affecting relatives (as it probably has for most of us here), and especially once a finish date was starting to be mentioned then I decided to go for it and see if I could get to 10years RT. Glad I managed the milestone, hopefully some good will come of it.
----------------------------------------That amount of RT for a project is something I never thought I would get anywhere near when I started crunching here. |

Oooooooh - what big words you have grandma! All the better to bamboozle you with Child! I thought Donald Trump was going to restart the Gulf Stream with all of the hot air and rhetoric from his (I hope) doomed to failure campaign. I like it cold too and having spent nearly 10 years in Kazakhstan where the winter regularly records temperatures below -40 (C or F it's the same) I appreciate 'dry' cold. I've still got my -70F Parka and the Sorrel boots if anyone wants them - they are no use here in Bolivia.
