Good Morning All.
----------------------------------------Congratulations on significant milestones for Barnsley-Tatts and TomNuttall you are both pillars of our society! Keep it up. Ah Dave - fortunately car insurance is a thing of the past for me here as literally no one has it and it is not compulsory. There is however a form of 'Road Tax' which is dependent on the age of your car - the newer the higher (my 2010 RAV4 is about £200 / year), and a form of road accident medical insurance that will pay for basic care in the event of a shunt. However, financial benefits aside, it has taken me 2 - 3 years to adjust to the anarchy on the roads here and I have now come to expect bad behaviour as a norm. Defensive driving!

Good morning all - It was a lovely day yesterday until a Bolivian Bimbo decided to modify my car. Complete front panel needed for mine (RAV 4) $285 incl labour. Small cosmetic scratch on her car (KIA) $490 - needless to say I told her insurance company where to go when they suggested 50:50. In the end she has agreed to pay me $100 and I have managed to get my car repaired for $120 so all is not lost.

I thought you said you didn't bother with insurance in Bolivia? ![]() My daughter's had her first minor incident. A clash of door mirrors. Her nearside mirror disintegrated, but reassembled OK... except for a crucial broken clip to hold it all together. Rather than paying £65 for a new mirror and another ~£50 to get it sprayed the right colour, I found a local company called Plastic Surgery who have glued the mirror back together for £10. All will be well unless it ever needs a new bulb... in which case it will need a new mirror!
