Re: Good morning team

I picked up my Gold Beta badge a while ago, not holding my breath on getting to the Ruby one any time soon...

Re: Good morning team

Good morning all. The Ruby in Beta has taken me 7 years so I expect my Sapphire around 2023 smile

If 180 days took 7 years, then 730 days is going to take you quite some way past 2023, Rod biggrin

Sorry, should have said emerald. Sapphire is estimated as 2037 (unless of course I get my Mac Pro before then!)

Good afternoon team

Good afternoon crunchers!
I'm hitting 30 years of crunching today. If only I'd known what I was letting myself in for when I signed up in 2009.

Whereas I wish I'd known about WCG since its launch! sad

I kind of let grid-computing drift for a decade or so after I graduated from University - I did SETI@home and UD and distributed.net for a few years during University, and for a short period afterwards, but then didn't think about it again until my late Nan fell severely ill, and this sprung back into my mind.

Re: Good afternoon team

Good morning all.

Congratulations on 30 years of crunching dc. You are catching me up fast but still 65 years behind. If your mind works like mine you will feel a glow of satisfaction when your crunching age passes your own age. Contrary to popular belief I passed my age only a couple of years ago (66 I think).

Re: Good afternoon team

At the current rate of progress (~ x24 real time) it should be about a year smile
I'll probably ease off a bit once I get my Diamond 20 in August, so maybe a bit longer than that.

Re: Good morning team

Hi Team, just a quick update, my wife has had her Brain Tumor removed and has been back at home for a couple of weeks, but it will be many many months before she can return to work, even on a Part Time basis.

As soon as we have managed to clear the debt that we will inevitably get in to, with us just having my wages and possibly a couple of quid a month from PIP, I hope to be back with some additional cores biggrin

Hope everything is fine with you all.

D.

Our thoughts are with you themoonscrescent. Praying for a full recovery.
