It was always my intention to temporarily sign my machines over to others to help them achieve their targets once I had reached mine. However, my ISP Virgin (UK) let me down badly and were unable to allow me to reach the WCG servers for a whole 28 days. They eventually admitted that the fault was at their end, but that meant that I had to downgrade my target to 100 years.
----------------------------------------It is going to be run to the wire (I still need 2.8 years not including my PVs) but if I see that I have enough, I will empty my cache and return WUs to the pot. In reality, I estimate that this won't happen until the well has run dry. So if you are still crunching to reach your own targets, don't give up yet. There are probably a few like me who will be doing the same Crunching in memory of my Mum PEGGY, cousin ROPPA and Aunt AUDREY. |

Might just make it to 4 years. Once I have enough in PV and in the cache, I'll switch my feeder to another project.

Why are people dropping out, when the end is so near? The best is to finish up this project and then take summer vacation. It's much too early to take summer-vacation in April... "I make so many mistakes. But then just think of all the mistakes I don't make, although I might." |

Hmm I have to leave home for a couple of days... maybe some wu's won't be crunched until their due date.... so Sunday some leftovers probably will be returned uncrunched....

Hi, Ingleside:
----------------------------------------I 'dropped out' to leave tasks for those crunchers complaining about not getting enough work to achieve badge levels. I don't care about badges which appear to assume a large degree of importance for some. JCM crunching, crunching, crunching. AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6-core Processor with Windows 11 64 Pro. AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor with Windows 11 64 Pro (part time) [Edit 1 times, last edit by John C MacAlister at Apr 25, 2013 12:53:37 PM] |

I don't think it's possible,
----------------------------------------But I'm shooting for 9 years. Had to switch my CPUs to HCC as well. (I know it's a waste, in a way, but it's my electricity) It's only till they quit sending them out and an 8 day que. I'm at 8 years 214 days with 20 cores (including 2 GPU). 7.55 days times 20 equals 9 years barely... Why oh WHY did I have to go on vacation before this ended [Edit 1 times, last edit by Jack007 at Apr 25, 2013 1:51:04 PM] |

It's so relaxing to have my 15 years done and not have to scramble for the dregs in the bottom of the barrel.

Actually,
----------------------------------------It's the thrill of the chase for me, I like micromanaging on the final drawdown. I can always try to scrape up some resends too, so I'm not too worried. GOOD LUCK ALL EDIT: By the way, eagerly awaiting word of slow/stoppages on HCC wu, Both CPU & GPU. At work, so I can't do my own spying.
