cw64,
The post by wplachy spelled out the 4 options to set in a device profile to *not* receive CPU *at all*, and only GPU work. What more do you want? I've marked the thread as [ANSWERED] for good order. |

I don't want no CPU work or work from all projects either. Under "Advanced Options" -> "Processor Usage" set "Allow research to run on my CPU?" to "NO" NO means NO CPU WORK , none, nada for any project. ----------------------------------------

I don't want no CPU work or work from all projects either. So you want to receive CPU work for some projects and GPU work for HCC? Is that it? ---------------------------------------- AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

With the app_info file, you shouldn't get any CPU WUs unless specified in the file.

Not getting any CPU-work at all is very easily done... But, how will you configure your preferences if: 1: Of HCC-work will only run it on the GPU. 2: Of WCG-CPU-work, will only run DDDT2 as more work is made available. 3: Will additionally also run any beta-work for both GPU and CPU. ![]() "I make so many mistakes. That's not the question of the OP querier... he wants, as most everyone is understanding, GPU only, but no CPU of any science and as you said it's easy.
----------------------------------------Yours, New scenario, start new thread, but what's in pipeline with app_config.xml [stuff you don't know yet], it is very fine grained going to be possible. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 15, 2012 5:49:55 PM] |

Cruncher cw64 wants an ETA for a project-screen with the functionality he described... So, we'll give the ETA to him: 100-years ![]() Seriously now, Ingleside: A matrix/table is the only tool I can see as covering all possible combinations along the three axes of choices: processing-unit, project, and beta/production. Another choice-axis is runtime, something which I have endorsed during the time when many non-HCC project's runtime were increased. Whether it is a good idea to cover all combinations is another matter. The customization afforded by the app_info comes closest as I've yet seen in covering the most number of combinations, which should also cover what cruncher cw64 wants to do. ; ; andzgridPost#745 ; [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 15, 2012 7:07:10 PM] |

Yup, for the man who fell to earth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfQd2LlJ_Rs ... did you actually ingest my last reply? Those who think three-dimensional could picture it before their minds-eye

P.S. In case you had not read it yet, app_info.xml is a dead duck. Will be disabled by WCG soon after the client with app_config,xml functionality goes to endorsed state [had techs known before hand of a server side and client bug, yes Ingleside, it would never have been allowed].
