Re: They're back safe and sound

Hi RobSab, Currently all further launches are on hold until they can figure out on how to solve the foam problem. There might not be another launch this year or at all until they come out with a new shuttle design.

Re: Brave words on the team site

I have discovered one thing though. If you don't have at least a 10Gb drive you don't get a 10Gb score for storage. I built this one with an "ancient" 5Gb Maxtor that's been sitting on my bookshelf for some time.

David

This is the problem I asked about earlier in the thread when I had a 2 GB hard drive. The interseting thing was is that when I hosted on a network drive my composite went up since it now had the 9.77 GB but my hourly point total did not. If I understand your response you said that you would be getting the 10 GB value even though you are running a 5 GB machine. So my question is, if you duplicate my experiment do you see the same effect? Can you run off a network drive and see if you composite goes up - it should - and if your points per hour change? I think that it will still use the 5 GB value in the points per hour calc and ignore that you are running with a drive with more room.

Congratulation to MOT!!

Congratulation to all people who hit an official, inofficial, or personal milestone
or target lately!!!

Congratulation to the whole MOT bunch for 249,750 points in only one singe day (this Monday) !!!
One tiny drop more and we would have gained 1/4 million points in only 24 hours
of combined crunching -- this is is a fantastic joint achievement!!!

A huge "BRAVO" to my MOT family!!! applause peace laughing

Project Badges:
Dear the Good Folk of MyOnlineTeam

Dear the good folk of MyOnlineTeam

Your Team Captain is cream crackered, shattered, done for, out of steam, running on empty, completely out of whoohoo's. I've been burning the candle at both ends and now someone has set fire to the middle as well.

(All of the above phrases have been audited by nelsoc and they are OK wink There are others but they cannot be put into black and white biggrin )

At the moment life consists of Work, being stuck on the M25, eating my tea (I think the Americans call it Supper) and then snoring a lot, being stuck on the M25 (and repeat ad nauseum wink )

I need another contract smile

I need a holiday too which is coming up soon in mid September

Please keep the flag flying for MOT while I try recharge my batteries -you haven't been abandonned - after applying the MS Security fixes yesterday to my crunchers I needed to lie down 10 mins later ZZzzZZzz. I'm seriously under the cosh at the moment at work

I've just dropped by to say thanks to Windflowers (Aquarius) for making the 6 digit club your crunching has ramped up very nicely, very impressive. I will sort out your stats graph tonight I wasn't quite sure who had turned into Aquarius. Could you drop me a mail as to which is your prefered Nick either way is OK and I'll do the necessary - Cheers

Congrats also to Ploetner those points per day keep improving you will have to let me know your secret 2 Million + (The 3rd Multi-millionaire on MOT!!!)

Team we have a new country also to celebrate. John Horn got in touch yesterday and so now we can add Norway to MOT's International reach. I'll update your details John when I return home tonight. I think you might be the owner of the best spec'ed machine on MOT. Pretty awesome cruncher you have there.

There are lots of things I would like to do to improve the teams website (Which I think might be off the air at the Mo) I just need to stop doing the Work M25 thing just for a moment - one day, one day

Please bear with me normal service will be resumed

Dave sleep sleep sleep

p.s. that gap is down to less than a Million biggrin
