I used to hail from the Chicagoland area. I grew up in Riverdale and as an adult, I lived in Dolton, Richton Park and finally in Tinley Park before moving here to North Carolina. Don't miss the winters one bit, but I do miss everything about Chicago. Your friend, |

moved to tinley park this past january actually.... Mousie -- If you ever get to Teehan's by the train station, look up Linda that tends bar there and tell her we met on the internet. She is a very sweet lady as is Regis (sp?) that manages the place for her father. I used to live across the street from Olympic Star on 171st street behind the Jewel store and across the street from tne library. Shame.....I got plans to drop ya down to 4th uh oh dave...will remember that. haha, i moved into a newer development that was probably cornfields when you lived out here. right down the street from the giant music amphitheatre off of 80...i can hear the bass thumping from the band playing there tonight as i type this. |

My former wife and two of my four sons live just to your south in Matteson just to the East of Ridgeland and halfway between US30 and Volmer Road in what once was called the Creekside Subdivision and are probably hearing the same sounds you are hearing -- LOL. We bought our house there in 1979. We split up in 1989 and I moved to Tinley. Then I came down here in 1996. lol....wow...more or less around the corner and down the street. scratch what i said about corn fields, and replace with golf course surrounded by corn fields....
