One of my crunches is 8 cores that's in storage. That and the one I have going now will up my points and production nicely I hope..

Hi Dr. Mike,
What is the machine you have going now and what is the 8 core one you have in storage? I want to know specifically for planning purposes. I would also like to know your experience with these two machines so I don't fall into any traps. I am currently using four machines with a total of twelve cores so I am somewhat protected from failures on any one machine. I am also using Windows 7 on two machines (6 cores) and Windows Vista on the other two, but I do not have the i7 on any of the machines. Thanks for any information. |

Dave, I will have to look a little more at them to get the specifics when I get back to my condo. I know the one in storage is a Dell core i7 920 I believe. Actually I think it's 4 cores and 8 threads. I seem to be doing more of the core/thread mixups. Sorry.
