one says Internet access OK - project servers may be down.

also, I have an additional work buffer of 1.0 days.. so it should be downloading work units as we speak.. but it doesn't..

Mike, if you hit the update button on the Projects tab, what do you see in Messages? If it looks like this:
----------------------------------------9/29/2012 12:22:42 AM World Community Grid update requested by user 9/29/2012 12:22:44 AM World Community Grid Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. 9/29/2012 12:22:44 AM World Community Grid Not reporting or requesting tasks 9/29/2012 12:22:49 AM World Community Grid Scheduler request completed then BOINC doesn't think you need any new work. Double check that it doesn't say "Won't get new tasks" by the WCG entry on the Projects tab. That would mean you've hit the "No new tasks" button. Click on Advanced, Preferences and look on the Network Usage tab at the values for Connect About Every and Additional Work Buffer. Those will match what you have in your profile unless you have overridden them in Preferences on that machine. |

crud.. figured something out.. I had a work unit that wouldn't download.. it was hanging things up for some reason.. so aborted that download.. and whammo.. things are working..

It may be a short time thing where some tasks was running on the servers. Keep trying the update button. I take you can get to other sites on the web? |

crud.. figured something out.. I had a work unit that wouldn't download.. it was hanging things up for some reason.. so aborted that download.. and whammo.. things are working.. i'm a doofus.. Dr. Mike Interesting. I would have thought it wouldn't have been able to finish downloading that WU but still get others - unless that WU was enough to fill your buffer. Seeing what you have in messages from when it got that WU that wouldn't download and on would help sorting out what was going on. BTW, you're a doctor, not a doofus. Different things.  |

Dr. Mike, perhaps the WU that was hung up on the download had a resource that is required for any download and it was released when you did the abort. Just a guess, but that is the only thing that makes sense.

People are really hitting some great milestones! Hopefully one day soon i'll be able to add some crunchers to the mix.. right now they're in storage.. :/
