Oh, I should add a bit of good news. I last saw my urologist back on the 23rd and they had me get blood drawn for a PSA. Late last Friday afternoon, I got a call on my cell that my results were in. As they put it, my PSA was "less than 0.1". Guess that's a zero for all practical purposes!
----------------------------------------![]() BTW, Mike (USAFA 82), how's your recovery going? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I was interested in how many points those in the top 100 members produce. Everyone in the top 100 (points wise) produced at least 305,000 yesterday, with the top "member" (IBM) producing 32.4 million. Interesting.. Our legal system defines a corporation as a "person". That guy has a lot of computers. ![]() In other news: I just did the calculation. U.S. National Debt is 16 Trillion and there are 313 million of us. So each man, woman and child's share of the National Debt is roughly $51,118. As Tony the Tiger would say "Have a GRRRREEEEAAAATTTT Day" and pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. Edit. After I posted this, I got to thinking about it some more. Since half of the "wage earners" pay no income tax and the "wage earners" are less than half the population. For us income tax paying wage earners, our debt is in excess of $200,000 each. Thanks Washington! ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by RT at Sep 5, 2012 3:46:17 PM] |

It's unreal how many points/results some of the top people produce. Makes me want to get more computers. lol
----------------------------------------I do hope everyone has a great day. My remaining grandfather had another amputation unfortunately yesterday evening secondary to fairly bad peripheral vascular disease. We also have a close family friend who was recently diagnosed with "Stage 4" metastatic prostate cancer recently. He is undergoing chemotherapy. Makes me want to go back to crunching cancer projects. I'm at 235 days or so on CFSW, doubtful I will make emerald for a badge. Any ideas? Dr. Mike ![]() |

It's unreal how many points/results some of the top people produce. Makes me want to get more computers. lol Tell me about it. I still dream of one day building my own "supercomputer" cruncher, especially nowadays that cancer made it personal! I do hope everyone has a great day. My remaining grandfather had another amputation unfortunately yesterday evening secondary to fairly bad peripheral vascular disease. We also have a close family friend who was recently diagnosed with "Stage 4" metastatic prostate cancer recently. He is undergoing chemotherapy. Ouch! Sounds like chronic heart failure in progression with your grandfather. Sure hope I'm wrong though. As for your friend, have them look into the vaccine they can do with prostate cancer. It's bound to be real expensive as they create it custom for you based on actual hiopsy samples of your cancer (if I recall correctly). The technique helped with the "smart bomb" chemo for breast cancer they just recently announced at the last conference (chemo that kills ONLY cancer cells and has none of the hair loss/nausea of regular chemo). Makes me want to go back to crunching cancer projects. I'm at 235 days or so on CFSW, doubtful I will make emerald for a badge. Any ideas? You'll have to look at how many WU's you'd need to crunch to make another 130 days worth of runtime and compare that to how many batches they have left. That's why I quit CFSW at ruby. I'd need too many WU's to make another six months in relation to how many they have left. I'm getting emerald on SN2S soon and then going to work on sapphire on GFAM due to its projected finish per Sek's dashboard chart. |
