Looking at what is going on in the world I am saddened. I do not understand how and why we treat each other the way we do an have for all of recorded history. We are not nearly as smart as we pretend. I normally refrain from social commentary, but I feel compelled to say something about this. Between the world's news media being more interested in how people feel about what's going on than sticking to reporting the facts (also generally leaving out important facts) and religious institutions that preach understanding yet promote an undercurrent of intolerance, I see little hope of things changing. As the planet gets more crowded (q.v. religious institutions again), resources become scarce and we refuse to invest in the off-world exploration that is the only way to make more resources available without ravaging our home planet, things are only going to get worse. I'll stop now before I say something I'll regret. </social commentary> I now return you to your regularly scheduled forum chatter. In crunching news, I just managed to get emerald in CFSW  . I also got 9 beta WUs  that all ended with errors  . - D < social commentary p.s. > The U.S. is facing another presidential election that presents no choice for the intelligent voter.
