what is an inconclusive wu? i've not honestly seen anything that says that before. :(

Basically an "inconclusive" unit(now called pending verification) occurs when your computer gets a random check on a WU it has completed. This may occur at any time on any unit, even some of the zero redundancy projects. If your machine has returned some errors or invalids you would be more likely to have some pending verifications. This has happened to me and once the pending verifications are validated you go back to reliable status. It is one more check in the system to make sure the results are good. Hope this helps.

It could be if the server detected some problem with one or more units returned by your machine. When this had occurred with me usually all of the pending verifications turned valid in a couple of days. If someone else knows of another reason for this I'll be interested to know too.

I don't know the reason but I have had this sort of thing happen and within a few days they all turned valid. Hang in there and see what happens.


This has happened to me as well. I think if you have a result that is invalid or aborted, your machine is marked unreliable for that science. Each result for that science afterward will be marked Pending Verification while it awaits a second user crunching it. Then, if you both are okay, it becomes Valid. I think once you return five non-zero redundancy WUs for that science, your results will then no longer be marked Pending Verification and your machine will be marked reliable again.
