Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

6 days after I turned off the Task and aborted all unstarted work units, I still have a full page (about 11 hours) of PVs. :-)

Elfo, version 6.11 is for 32-bit OS, version 6.12 is for 64-bit OS. If you have 64-bit OS you can get both. I almost get 6.11 as repair jobs. It applies for Windows and Linux too.

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

Grendel90, I wouldn't give up so soon - as, after all, the techs have said that there's an estimated 14 days' worth of work left to be sent out - not including all the 'mopping up' WU's that'll be trickling out after then. Also, don't forget, you can cache up to 10 days' worth of WU's.

So, although I've no idea of your crunching power (many cores you've got available to crunch, how long your machine(s) is/are on per day and how much 'umph' they can produce/week), there's still time.

Basically, what I'm saying is, don't give up too soon - the 'fat lady hasn't started to sing' just yet biggrin

PS. I've got 4 cores crunching 24/7 and I'm ~45 days away from Ruby - and I'm pretty certain I'm going to make it.

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

Grendel90... I agree with gb009761, do not give up... I have surprised myself many times by making it to my crunching goals when I thought that it was not possible. Keep on crunching and you'll see that you will make it. Besides the info that gb009761 supplied (2 weeks plus mop up), big crunchers make it to their targets and release the extra WUs in their queue, so that is another source of available WUs that's not considered...

Wish you luck in achieving your goal.

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

I just released 80 CSFW WUs back into the system for the rest of you to use to get your badge goals done.

Grendel90, keep trying. On 8/28 I was at 66 days when I found out CFSW was closing on soon. I went in all out crunch mode and got my gold badge yesterday - I'm actually close to 91 days now since a few left over pending validations have finally come through. So that's 25 days of crunching on my quad core laptop in about 10 days....you may find that with all the left over CSFW WUs out there from other crunchers releasing their extras, there may be another week or two of clean up work to crunch to get your Gold badge completed. biggrin
