Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

Roughly 21 days of work left then? While I'm personally sad that the project's winding down so soon (I would have liked to have reached sapphire on it), my hearty congrats on getting the project done. Hopefully all the computer time has done something & good work will come of it.

At least emerald looks quite attainable (330 days done as of this morning) barring any massive hardware failures within the next few days. Hopefully things will be wrapped up by late next week. Once I do get there I'll be sure to stop getting any new work units to do what little I can to help others get theirs.

Good luck to all who are close to attaining the next badge level.

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

Time for updated batch-number, as normal time is UTC+2:
28.08.2012 22:59:28 | World Community Grid | Finished download of cfsw_15264_15264955_D15264955.sql

This is slightly more than 200 batches since yesterday, but there was also some older batches being sent-out in-between.

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

There are a number of older batches out there. Of all the CSFW WUs I crunched today, probably about 1/2 of them were older series in the 14xxx ranges.

The excitement increases... the CPUs roar... the fans are spinning madly... heat oozes from the systems... sweat rolls down the worried foreheads... will we make it? Will there be enough work for us all? Stay tuned to "Water vs Badges" or "Why my computer melted !"

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

Managed to finish a few WUs from other projects overnight to now be fully opened to remaining CFSW WUs. Getting lots done, but boy am I piling up a growing list of Pending Validations - usually I'm playing wingman for bigger crunchers, but now I'm wondering where all my wingman are! At this pace it maybe a week or more past the end of the last of the CFSW queue before I know that all those wingman have finally landed safely and I managed to sneek over the line for my Gold Badge. At least I know I'll be running my laptop enough that I won't be cold in my office for the next couple weeks ..... biggrin

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

This evenings update, as normal UTC+2:
29.08.2012 23:01:27 | World Community Grid | Finished download of cfsw_15588_15588426_D15588426.sql

This is 324 batches the last 24 hours.

If this is now the new distribution-speed, there's only roughly 11 days left of work. But there can also be some gaps in the distribution that will be filled-in later, so it's possible there's still roughly 20 days left to distribute.

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

There are older WUs also distributed- currently from the 14600 area.
No need for speed. :-)
