----------------------------------------I am switching gears to see if I can squeeze at least an Emerald out of this project! Good luck and have fun crunching! |

Another progress update: recieved 13516, among a fair deal of repair jobs. This might be quorum 1, but 20% of my jobs are repair jobs ?!

I see very few repair jobs (maybe a couple a week), but now all my WUs are quorum 1, but Replication: 2 !!! Now I have 2 pages of WUs with Pending Verification. I wonder why this change? Did I do something to anger the gods ?

A question for the group. Does anyone know if the last WU will be the end of 16999xxxxxxxxx? Or do they continue on from 17001 to 17999? This would really help to know in plotting out my run for emerald.

rewood1000, that is a question for the WCG techs/project scientists - and as we've hardly heard a bean from the latter (which I personally consider a very poor show, considering that we're all contributing our spare computer cycles for their project, free *), we'll just have to hope that the techs can spare a few mimutes out of their extremely busy schedule to provide an answer...
----------------------------------------* It wasn't that long ago, when it was discovered as to the naming conventions of the WU's/how many batches were to be processed etc. If we'd have known about this in the early days (like, as was asked of them), then there wouldn't be this mass panic/people who'll clearly miss their own personal targets etc. |
