Definitely XP bad W7 good for these jobs (updated my last post with findings).

Agreed. Win7 64 bit, 3 hours on 2600k machines, 4 1/2 hours on 860 machines. 6 1/2 hours on XP 32 bit with the same hardware as 860.


Win 7 good, Vista bad. Win 7 ~5.5 hours, Vista 8+ hours. On average the Vista machine is faster on other projects.

also the work units that are completed are stuck in pv again. guess there is a validater issue too.
