Got ~50 and all is good. Other than the long deadline, which has been mentioned, I see nothing unusual.

I got 4, don't know if they are running properly. BOINC is set to use 100% CPU and all 4 tasks are similar to this:
----------------------------------------CPU time: 00:00:19 Elapse time: 01:08:09 Fraction done: 0.000% CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2720QM CPU @ 2.20GHz quad core with H/T on 4 GB RAM with 71% physical utilized Hard drive is not thrashing Guess these WUs are just slow at the start. p.s. I did have TTrottle running and it was set to 100% CPU. I killed that app, maybe it was throttling incorrectly? Edit: Other tasks have CPU and Elapse time close to each other, running with H/T on. CPU time: 00:00:19 That doesn't look good! At completion, mine were only 2-3 minutes longer in Elapsed Time than CPU Time.Elapse time: 01:08:09 For comparison, my i5-750 is a quad-core without H/T, and I don't run TThrottle. |

I got 12 across my devices and all ran fine. it seems the pipe has ran dry though as my starved devices couldn't pull any more once the first wave finished.
----------------------------------------4.5 hours completion time. a little slow start (about 1 min into it for first 'tick). plastic badge here I come. /very jealous of those colorful B's under people's names. One day I'll have a colored B under my name too. edit: I forced them to be completed first by suspending/resuming the other things. Hoped I'd get more but nope. Due to the new server code, each core has a quota of one per day (at least that's what my messages were reporting). That means that even if more units are available when you finish the first ones, you will need to have a work unit validated (not just returned) before it will download another one. Short answer is the hard to get beta are now harder to get although it will spread out to more systems.  Distributed computing volunteer since September 27, 2000 |

Increased my cache to cast a wider net for catching betaWUs, but my machine was then hit by the Tchfadqo2t ("This computer has finished a daily quota of 2 tasks") BOINC message. Looks like (still) no betaWUs for my machine...  ; ; edit1_2012.04.12Th.1910.utc > Just did a fresh click on the BOINC update button... still nothing & still that Tchfadqo2t BOINC message... ; I'm getting exactly the same message, even though I haven't gotten any of the recent Beta WU's. I've run a lot more production WU's than 2 a day, though -- do they count? And all my prior Beta WU's completed without error .... |
