One of my PC's won't download new work?
My Quad core is failing to download new work for anything other than Water, the others (SNTS, HCMD2, HFM), try to download and simply back off, with the message "Internet OK, Project Servers may be down".

(Q9550, 3Gig Ram, Boinc 6.10.18, Win XP 32bit SP3). Never had this before and my other system (i7-870 with Hyperthreading on, Win7 64bit), is okay and is downloading work as normal.

Have restarted the affected system but that didn't help, won't run out of work because of water being okay and downloading as normal, just wondering if anyone else is getting this?

Please post message/event log from boot up to where work requests are rejected [no work etc]. Hit update button in the projects tab one time [select WCG line first] and include all following messages too. This will set us to read most all base information to ask more questions when we need to.

Same here. Download failures on HCMD2 for well over an hour now. Restarted boinc. Communication fails from the very first download tried.

Presuming these are listed in the client tasks tab, suggest you abort them there and if anything still list of these failing downloads, do so in transfer tab, till all reference is gone. Then hit update.

edit: Not seeing work is maybe because the transitioners are behind in loading new batches to the feeder. knreed was afraid of new BOINC server 700 having substantially more variables to update for each tracked host, long before he did the update and he's been right, which is why we get a 3rd server hooked up on April 5/6 to take the pressure off. The transitioner fallback causes validation delays and that proofed right when yesterday we had ~100,000 extra results showing (HCC/C4CW) that missed Friday's tally... but if this is related? Some report connection errors since the transition on March 6, but from here not seen it once... SN2S/GFAM/DSFL flowing as normal (touched wood).

I have aborted the transfer of all those that where stuck, set the system to Malaria only (to test it, as that was one that failed to download), pressed to update and everythings fine, Malaria downloaded nicely, everything appears to be back to normal, just not sure what caused it?

My machine is set to HCMD2 only. I've done a complete project reset, aborting all work. When it fills up with new ones, same problem still.

The .dat files (e.g. 2ac541c6d3e3688ee5b0f9d5e50caae0.dat.gzb) appear to be downloading fine. The pdb files all fail, as above.

Just come back to look at the system again, seems I was too quick and didn't look for long enough, problem still remains, I have aborted the transfer on Malaria and have set my system to Water only as that's the only one (out of the 4), that is downloading properly.

Still having the same problem, PDBQT file won't download.

I've switched another machine to HCMD2, as it's finished betas. ... same problem.
