If I have Boinc allready on my computer do i need to download world community grid software to ? Hi: Go to BOINC Download and download the version appropriate to your computer. Then add the projects which interest you. Have fun with DSFL, HCC, C4CW, GFAM, etc   crunching, crunching, crunching. AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6-core Processor with Windows 11 64 Pro. Hi dennis, welcome to WCG.
----------------------------------------Depending of where you got BOINC, it's either just attaching WCG to the client via the advanced view Tools menu [add project], or when having the WCG packaged version 6.10.58 from the WCG download page, then WCG already automatically being attached. Then the last thing to do [if you wish], is to go to our website's My Grid > My Projects and select the sciences you wish to contribute to. By default all are selected except Clean Energy. As soon as the client asks for new tasks will the science applications automatically be downloaded together with first tasks. When that's complete the crunching will start and the client taking care of uploading, reporting, fetching new tasks. No you do not, just go to Add a Project and scroll down to World Community Grid, near the bottom of the list, and put in your account data. IF you have a capable graphics card you could even help with the Beta units if you'd like. You MUST check the box to enable the gpu units though in the My Projects box. You do NOT have to enable any of the cpu projects above that check box to get gpu units, but you MUST check at least one of them to get any cpu units. Gpu units are few and far between, there are only so many of them during the testing and there are LOTS of us that want to help.   |
