I would suggest that people post replies with,
Operating System, Driver, GPU, CPU type and number of CPU cores (if any). Run times, temps, fan settings, clocks might also be useful. Anyone with failures should also include if you were using the GPU for gaming, watching online video, defragmenting, running antivirus..., and post your Boinc settings (Service install or not, use GPU when system is in use, if LAIM is selected). The more setup info the better. Good luck, |

All doing fine, except for some results reporting 'invalid', also some of my wingmen's.
Sorry for an off-topic question, can't find an answer (and those are my first GPU crunchings ever) -- : Are GPUs usually single-threaded? Just wondering why i can download up to 4 jobs while only having run 1 at a time. GPU is a mobile ATI Radeon HD5700 series (Juniper) (CAL version 1.4.1703, 2048MB, 1000 GFLOPS peak) Thanks. |

NVIDIA cards require Compute Capability of 1.2 and higher (http://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-gpus) and that have at least driver version 19713. Why is this driver required? There are serious issues with any driver above 190.53 beta. According to the Nvidia website the latest driver is 19610. There is no 19713 listed that I can find.
In 1969 I took an oath to defend and protect the U S Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and Domestic. There was no expiration date.

There are serious issues with any driver above 190.53 beta. Does 197.13 solve those issues? You're off by 100 nano. My last known workable driver is 285.62. It's the 29x that are having problems. It's quiet here and I am running the GPU beta on 3 cards in 2 PCs! The GPUs fans are not running! That doesn't happen running other GPU projects (MW, CC, PrimeGrid, etc)!
----------------------------------------I see this is hands on ATM. I'm getting 4 WUs per GPU, but I have to manually report them to get more. So, in my PC with 2 GPUs (5870) should I allocate 1 CPU task or 2 CPU tasks? ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by BladeD at Mar 16, 2012 7:08:26 PM] |
