Man. That message: Tasks are commited to other platforms is driving me off the wall.

The GPU beta WUs use 100% of a CPU on Nvidia cards. I think it has something to do with the drivers. My ATI card only uses 36%. They both use 95-97% of the GPU on my cards. @Dataman. Freeing 1 CPU core should do it. Worked for me on i7-2600k with a GTX 460. The other 7 cores are running non-stop @ 99.7%. Me too. I freeded one thread and aborted the CPU job running with the GPU and they all are playing together nicely in the sand box. Funny though Only DM02 (twin GTX 260's) and DM07 (twin GTX 460's) are getting work and both are queuing 6-7 jobs at 0.01 cashe. The other 6 machines also with 260's, 460's and a lone 285 have received nothing and have refused attemps to force them to do so. |

Round 4 seems to be already finished up...No more coming...
----------------------------------------BOINC client version 6.10.58 for windows_x86_64 Processor: 8 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07GHz [Family 6 Model 26 Stepping 5] (Running with 1 core free) OS: Microsoft Windows 7: x64 Edition, Service Pack 1, (06.01.7601.00) Memory: 12.00 GB physical (1600 MHz), 24.00 GB virtual NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce GTX 560 Ti [448] (driver version 28566, CUDA version 4010, compute capability 2.0, 1280MB, 1428 GFLOPS peak) Temps and Watts still look very good. Same as Round 2. Average "Elapsed time" 3 min. 47 sec. I did notice the last few I got were _2 and _3 so I assume this GPU is considered reliable There is one thing I think might need to be addressed... The "Duration Correction Factor" for this machine started out as 0.9180 and got as high as 4.1413 and ended up 2.3657 That caused the "To completion" estimate for the c4cw CPU jobs to fluctuate wildly from 2 hours to over 9 hours. I run a 0.00 Additional work buffer , but I can imagine for those who run with a larger buffer to have some issues. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Mar 20, 2012 1:13:10 AM] |

I'm thinking this batch is done. I'm only getting a resend here and there.

Any plans for checkpointing in GPU processing? To get longer running workunits we plan on packaging multiple images in a single workunit. For those there will be checkpoints taken in between images but at this point we have no plans on checkpointing the GPU applicaiton during an image. Thanks, armstrdj |

I run a 0.00 Additional work buffer , but I can imagine for those who run with a larger buffer to have some issues. I run with 0.01 and this is the first time I've seen BETA wu's waiting to run. Usually I complete one and get a new one. Not complaining though. |

Hats off to the techs on how smooth this beta test ran. (for moi anyway )
