June 1st, still no panels grrr. waiting on building permits. I hope it works out for you--I will be moving to Texas this month and will certainly be looking into some kind of solar system if only for the crunchers |

No word from the Swiss Alps for some time now. Hypernova as well as his solar powered grid have gone quiet.

In Alien 2 or 3 there's this warden who tries to suppress rumor. Hypernova announced a pause: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/...ead,35140_offset,0#422453

Yeah it's summer, up here, too many hot CPUs.
----------------------------------------Some good news, Tuesday the Solar guys are supposed to start. Wed or Thurs, they are supposed to finish. I'll post some pics and then most interesting a link to enphase enlighten, where it will show real time how much my panels are producing, and how much that day total and i think overall total. Would like a month breakdown as well, but may have to track that myself. ![]() |

and finally......
----------------------------------------it is finished, 6KW up and running, now if I can only figure out how to get the pics up here. The sun was almost setting when i flipped the breakers, and the meter was moving backwards :) Then a cloud came, and it hovered, then it started moving forwards but slowly. All in all this is going to be fun When I get the website working with my info, I'll post a link (It's the enphase enlighten site there are public examples there. Enphase is the type of microinverter I have) 24 panels (250 watt) 24 inverters (215 watt) Sad thing, the inspectors have to inspect the system, then the power distribution company has to come give me a bi directional meter so it could be 2 weeks or more before we start getting paid for the excess power we are producing. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Jack007 at Jun 15, 2013 2:50:14 AM] |

Congrats on your solar system. I would love to do that as well but my whole lot is quite shaded with trees. Hope you can get some pictures working for us.

Hmmm,
----------------------------------------well the website works, they are going to input each panel (really the microinverters) I made about 12 KW in 4 or 5 hours this morning but, since the meter only measures flow (not WHICH WAY it is flowing) I get charged for the power I send back to the grid. Anyway lol, disconnected it for now, the inspector comes tomorrow, then the distributor will take out old meter put new bi directional meter in and I can go to town! ![]() |

I got bored so I turned em back on.
----------------------------------------got some clouds today but some good sun too (5.38 KW peak power but 500watts now it's been raining some) 29.1 KW so far produced today, def more than I'll use in a 24 hour period. Edit: Top 2 days were 39 and 40 KW. Love these 17 hour days! ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Jack007 at Jun 29, 2013 3:31:47 PM] |
