Woo Hoo! We upped our points record again today by another 60,000 points!!! If we can do two more 1.2 million point days, we'll have a third "extra" million point day this month!

Good Tuesday Morning My Online Team Congratulations to the team on the new point record. I don't know where the growth is coming from but congratulations whoever. Congratulations lawrencehardin! Hey DataMan. Really good to hear from you. I am not sure where you were talking about when you say the panhandle. The Texas panhandle is that northern most sort of rectangle. I actually grew up in the center of that area. "Amarillo" is the name of the town/city. I could not agree more that it is not "awash with purdy". One morning back in the early 60s when I was there, the temp was -17F. The wind is always blowing at least 30MPH and it is miserably hot and dusty in the summer. I don't think that they are storing any Nuclear waste there, but it was the place that they assembled Nuclear weapons and that they are dismantling them for use in power plants. Texas is a giant place with lots neat to see. The panhandle is not among them apart from the "Palo Duro Canyon" . I spent many days in that mini-grand canyon as a youngster. Neat Place. I also agree that the Texas Hill Country is about as pretty as any large area. It does not have the dramatic scenes that you see in some other parts of the country but is sure is a nice comfortable place to live. I live on the Northern edge of that "Hill Country" in a nice hilly wooded area. If you get time, I recommend Eastern Texas and Northeastern as a very different place. Covered in piney woods with lots of hills and lakes. I also enjoy the "Big Bend" area for its stark desert-like vastness with one almost alpine like area in the middle of the desert (how unlikely is that). I am sure you have looked at the brochures. The Houston Galveston area has some nice places as well with NASA among the neat places to visit. You will enjoy Corpus. I like it there but there but it does not hold my interest for very long. There is a de-commissioned Aircraft Carrier (Lexington CV-16 "Blue Ghost") there. Of course Austin is a place like no other; lots of high-tech stuff as well as a thriving music scene, and lots of just plain weirdness (including but not limited to our State Government) . Enjoy your stay and should you choose to visit Dinosaur State Park or Fossil Rim Wildlife park, then you will be up in my neck of the woods. Also the new Cowboys stadium, etc. etc. In that case, you can even camp on my place for a few days. It is pretty cold at the moment with overnights being around freezing. In any case, enjoy your stay in Texas and all the other states. Sounds like you are having a good time. Tell you lady friend "Hi" from all us MOT/WCGders. Everyone have a great day. Sounds like you are having a good time. Tell you lady friend "Hi" from all us MOT/WCGders. Sorry RT, too late at night, too much scotch and lousy sentence construction. Yes, we dropped out of the bottom of NM and into TX and a more or less straight shot to here. Thanks for the travel info. Actually both of us have seen quite a bit of Texas in our former business lives. We’ve also seen the gulf from New Orleans east to Florida. However neither of us has been to the gulf from say Corpus Christi down to Brownsville/South Padre. Once settled we will probably take the Jeep and head down that way. Hahaha RT, you got me in trouble. I showed “Karen” your comment about “lady friend” and she laughed and asked if she got a promotion? I had to do some fast talking, RT!! Truth is we have known each other for 20 years and, over the years, our relationship slowly evolved into something wonderful. No one was more surprised at that than we were. When she sold her business and retired last year she announced that it was about damn time we found out if we could stand to be with each other 24/7. Thus this little adventure began. No worries so far!!!Hey Judson! You have become an awesome cruncher. Thanks for all that work!! I have 72 CPU’s and 14 GPU’s now but controlling them remotely can be a bit of a challenge at times. Keep up the good work. I hope everyone at MOT has a great holiday season. Crunch on! ![]() ![]() |

Holy electric bill Batman, er, Dataman. I can't even imagine. ![]() Hey Nano good to hear from you. Well, just because I have them does not mean I run all of them all of the time. I usually run at about 40% of capacity. I have not run the cards much lately. We have house sitters and when I start the cards I can easily raise the temp in the house by 20F or so. Sounds like you're having a blast traveling to and fro. I'm soooooo jealous. ![]() Yes! It’s been a lot like This However I much prefer the Aussie Version This is so good! Cheers, Nano. ![]() |
