We have just released some new workunits into the wild. These are running an updated application number 6.15. This is mainly a change to help fix some of the errors members were experiencing with the Windows executable. I also have had 1 fail that required closing the task by clicking the APPCRASH dialog. Until doing so it was shown as active with wall time incrementing and CPU time not.

We have just released some new workunits into the wild. These are running an updated application number 6.15. This is mainly a change to help fix some of the errors members were experiencing with the Windows executable. Thanks, -Uplinger I have/had a few across a few machines. On some PCs the system is bogged down - un-reactive for seconds at a time. Task-manager slow to open, rarely updates and slow to close. One was Intel laptop with 1.6Ghz and 500Mb memory (using about 50M plus 50 swap). Another is AMD 2.4Ghz desktop with 750Mb, same usage. Both running Win 2000. Intel duo desktop running WinXP OK, as is Intel laptop duo running Dotsch-UX. Above WinXP suspends within seconds, Linux appears immediate (2 trys). Paul.

No problems on Ubuntu 10.04.3. I have successfully returned 3 (2 valid, 1 PV) from 2 different machines. They had suspended immediately. I have a few others still running.

Got two of those -1073741819 errors on my i7 win7 machine, first time I've seen any of those on this science.
----------------------------------------On the WinXP machine that isn't respecting suspend, I noticed I was running an older client (6.1.40), upgraded it to 6.12.33 but the behavior is the same. I'm not seeing the unresponsiveness this time, however. Will have to wait and see if this one validates, so far none on that machine have matched the wingman even though there are no errors. The runtimes appear much better for your six hour average time. My fastest machines are lasting about 3, so I'd say you've got that one right. Guess we're in for at least one more round of Beta before this one goes live.  Distributed computing volunteer since September 27, 2000 |

These were picked up while I was asleep so I am unable to comment on whether there was any noticeable change to the video stuttering I reported earlier. |
