Have four more WU in the works. Also, the one I reported as inconclusive validated off my i7.

I got 4 of these today, BETA_ BETA_ 00000525_ 0000002_ 0835 and I see they are running fine, but not smoothly like other sciences do. Sometimes, when Boinc is on the screen, the time freezes, and after a few seconds starts again with few seconds more to catch up.
And also, the strangest thing is that the elapsed time is less than the CPU time. |

I too have noticed strange freezups running this BETA. I have not seen anything like this before with any WUs.

Had another result go inconclusive when the wingman returned:
----------------------------------------BETA_ BETA_ ampc_ 0000001_ 0810_ 2-- - In Progress 8/25/11 01:52:18 8/26/11 16:46:26 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 BETA_ BETA_ ampc_ 0000001_ 0810_ 0-- 614 Inconclusive 8/23/11 22:25:52 8/25/11 01:30:02 2.91 61.6 / 0.0 BETA_ BETA_ ampc_ 0000001_ 0810_ 1-- 614 Inconclusive 8/23/11 22:25:52 8/24/11 05:33:50 6.41 75.1 / 0.0 <-- mine This is on an Athlon XP with Win XP 32bit SP 3. Again, I have no idea what the wingmen are running. Distributed computing volunteer since September 27, 2000 |

I've returned 10 of the 12 betas I received, and all have validated. That's

I'm happy not to have had any validation issues with either architecture. I haven't received any of the strange new betas described in the last two messages. |

This one is turning into a marathon: 9 Hour 33 Min at 21% progress All others have been 2 to 3 hours completion time. Win 7 x64, AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 840 Processor 3.2 GHz BETA_ BETA_ ampc_ 0000001_ 0061_ 0-- - In Progress 8/23/11 22:32:35 8/27/11 22:32:35 Checked this one about an hour ago. Showed 14 Hours still at 21%. Did an activity suspend, rebooted, and resumed activity. The WU imediately went to 27 Min at 20.250%. About an hour later it shows 1 Hour 19 Min at 48%. Appears to be on a more normal progress output. Definately something went out of sync. The computer hardware is about 6 months old and I haven't noticed any WU processing problems so maybe this being a BETA, it was having a bad BETA hair day. |

mine seem to be processing better with hyperthreading off. I think this project is not too "HT-friendly". At least on Pentium 4s. Maybe this is not an apples to apples, but anyway: Device 1, P4-HT@3.2GHz: BETA_ BETA_ tk_ 0000001_ 0184_ 0-- 9.23 hrs. |
