We've been dealing with a bit of a heat wave here the last few days, so I've had to run my systems at less than 100%. We were just under 100F most of the week, down to 91F today, expect hotter tomorrow. I can't complain too much though -- we are on track for our coolest August in 34 years even with the hot days this week. After 2 average years and 31 warmer than average years, it's about time.

 Good Morning Team and visitors Congratulations xroule. Darth, we here in the Great State of Texas, can sympathise with you, we have had a really hot, dry summer. Glad you are overall having a cool August this year...sounds as if it is about time. I am not sure why my points totals are down. Some of it is due to Beta runs in PV Jail. Not sure about the rest. All systems seem "hot straight and normal". |

Maybe I have an explanation for some of the wu reduction. I noticed that I have an unusullly large number of priority wu that cause lost of wu to be stopped some time minutes before completion. On one machine I had over 20 wu on hold. That screws up stats pretty fast.

Hi RT, what you described for choosing the HD input for a channel is the way it works for Dish. I had chosen all of my HD channels by doing what you describe, but with DIRECTV all of the channels are listed with a different number except for such channels as 470 where it is listed as 470 and 470-1. I am assuming 470-1 is for HD. But I don't have any such thing for the local channels which do broadcast in the old format as well as HD.
One other thing I liked about Dish is the choices you have available for a subset of the list. For instance, one of the subsets is all HD channels. DIRECTV does not have the same subset for a list. |
