Thanks Beverley I've only just seen these.
----------------------------------------I went to see my 2 daughters on the South Coast and I've been out of the loop. That poem from way back - Hanging with a silent wisdom Reflected smiles soak distant frosted fields Uniting - They both look at the Moon in a different way since I shared this with them I had to have a copy of this http://www.amazon.com/If-The-Moon-Turns-Green/dp/B0011GD78E There's a beautiful beautiful song on there (among many other beautiful songs) it goes Scene, a park, after dark 'Neath the moonlight mellow Just a glance, then romance What a lucky fellow A little girl, a little boy, a little moon A little nook, a little brook, a night in June While the little stars are gleaming They're dreaming and scheming A little walk, a little talk, a little bliss A little"No", a little"Yes", a little kiss And very soon, a little church, a wedding tune A little girl, a little boy, a little moon Time, a year, June is here, Park is left behind them Happy he, happy she This is where you'll find them A little lane, a little house upon a hill A little Jack, who hurries back to meet his Jill At the little door they're kissing But someone is missing A little ma, a little pa creep up the stair A little lad, who looks like dad, is sleeping there And through the trees, they hear the breeze, It seems to croon A little girl, a little boy, a little moon It brings a tear, at it's all round perfection. You know what I mean by this, have a listen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCuXpUnyYAA Dave ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by David Autumns at Jul 13, 2015 10:12:27 PM] |

What was it I was going to say?
----------------------------------------Slipped away probably because it needn’t be said. At that edge almost not knowing but second guessing the gain, loss, or effect of an otherwise hesitant remark. Slant of light on a brass box. The way a passing thought knots the heart. There’s nothing, nothing to say. -Thomas Meyer |

It would be impossible for Wordsworth not to write poetry in the Lake District :-) Tomorrow brings another tale.... as not yet lived. Agreed! Your relevant picture speaks volumes.... Nature was important to Wordsworth from his earliest years, as it fueled his vivid imagination. Some of the most striking memories he would describe in The Prelude are of experiences he had as a child, when his impressionable mind was awe-struck, and sometimes even afraid of his surroundings. In Book I he tells of a night-time boat trip he once took which left him shaken, thinking 'grave and serious thoughts... for many days' I dipp'd my oars into the silent Lake, And, as I rose upon the stroke, my Boat Went heaving through the water, like a Swan; When from behind the craggy Steep, till then The bound of the horizon, a huge Cliff, As if with voluntary power instinct, Uprear'd its head. |

One of the joys of being there are the regular Cor's and Whoa's from the 2 foot 6's gingerly peering over that bridge
