The Poet's Thought
----------------------------------------- Lucy Maud Montgomery It came to him in rainbow dreams, Blent with the wisdom of the sages, Of spirit and of passion born; In words as lucent as the morn He prisoned it, and now it gleams A jewel shining through the ages. Catch the Rainbow |

The Author to Her Book
----------------------------------------By Anne Bradstreet Thou ill-form’d offspring of my feeble brain, Who after birth didst by my side remain, Till snatched from thence by friends, less wise than true, Who thee abroad, expos’d to publick view, Made thee in raggs, halting to th’ press to trudge, Where errors were not lessened (all may judg). At thy return my blushing was not small, My rambling brat (in print) should mother call, I cast thee by as one unfit for light, Thy Visage was so irksome in my sight; Yet being mine own, at length affection would Thy blemishes amend, if so I could: I wash’d thy face, but more defects I saw, And rubbing off a spot, still made a flaw. I stretched thy joynts to make thee even feet, Yet still thou run’st more hobling then is meet; In better dress to trim thee was my mind, But nought save home-spun Cloth, i’ th’ house I find. In this array ’mongst Vulgars mayst thou roam. In Criticks hands, beware thou dost not come; And take thy way where yet thou art not known, If for thy Father askt, say, thou hadst none: And for thy Mother, she alas is poor, Which caus’d her thus to send thee out of door. ![]() |

would segue straight into "Little Wing"
---------------------------------------- As it played I played and there it is I knew where it went next Just one note higher than Jimi's original but the one everyone now plays dovetals perfectly When evening falls she'll run to me Like whispered dreams your eyes can't see When I'm sad, she comes to me, With a thousand smiles she gives to me free. ![]() ![]() |

Time for a little light rhyme
----------------------------------------! Song Of June ! - Poem by Rema Prasanaa June sings for me, a song of a rain cloud, which has lost its way in a desert storm, haunted and chased by the conspiring rays of of a burnt up sun but found its way back to a green hill to sing again a song for me.... ![]() ![]() |

Summer secrets
----------------------------------------Winter woes A world awash In angry throes Yet Soft the breeze Gently whispered Hushed and scented Crystal clean Promises like Floating flowers Drifting upward Depth unseen Awake the dawn Blue, green and white Ablaze the sun A wondrous sight Then Night descends With silver shine And doubts pervade A clouded mind As stars remain Could hope run dry Or meld these thoughts And stay aligned |
