The loss of HCC has certainly made a big dent in the teams output. Means that for you Jonnieb, your nemesis IIDS is pulling away again.

Very true. Improbable Island's Distributed Supercomputer has ceased to be a valid target for both Points and Results in the last 2 days. They became a valid target because of their comparatively low uptake of GPU, but with that finished we've lost our edge. sad

In the aftermath of HCC GPU and lacking any new GPU project to replace it, it's unlikely that anyone will being setting new Personal Basts to report in the Morning Updates, with the obvious exception of a member's new machine coming onlne. The end of HCC GPU with it's plentiful Points and Results will also reduce the frequency of Personal Milestones updates to report in the Morning Updates.
I will review the parameters for reporting Personal Milestones and publish the proposed changes. wink

Re: UK #1 Challenge

The report of Contenders for a UK #1 spot has only one entry at this time until the 7day average loses the last of the HCC work.

crooks_uk 2,484 days Points

Currently no one is crunching sufficient RunTime to even mount a distant challenge to the #1 spot held by crooks_uk

In the meantime these are the last week's stats that go to make up the 7day average:

Excellent work as always with the stats jonnieb-uk. It's going to take me a very long time to make ground on Soong. Fortunately I am not going anywhere.

I will need to plan in more weekends of rendering on my workstations. I have two idle only hex core (12 threaded) workstations at my disposal now.

I hope WCG is looking specifically for future GPU projects. If they do, I will invest in a high end GPU to speed things along.

Re: Time on My Hands!

So, back in LA at work and I found that one of the 4core machines i was borrowing hadn't been running WCG for the last 4 days so I've missed out on a fair bit of cpu/gpu running due to it (40-50%) of total. This is now up and running so my cpu work should be back up to its 4days/day RT again. I had been wondering why the RT data had been lower than i was expecting but totally missed it had stopped working but nothing i could have done about it being 5,000 miles away smile

@jonnieb-uk Thanks for all the stat work for the last set of monthly reports. And thanks for looking in to the little question I posed.

I dont want to steel your thunder jonnieb-uk, but for crooks_uk I have used this to work out my most efficient way to spend time on points. And its only using the five projects I'm currently active on with HCC as a comparison for figures, but that project will be distorted via me using a mixture of AMD and nvidia and CPU WUs.

_________________________________Points____results__time___________Total hours__PPR_____PPH_____HPR

Help Conquer Cancer_______________8,638,545_21,172__1:272:18:42:37__15306______408______564.4___0.7

I don't know how this will change if you look at WCG as a whole or specifically at different people. But for me to get points i would need to do The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2, and to maximize results GO Fight Against Malaria. Both of these are tiny numbers when compared to HCC which was better than all other projects. And it also shows that for purely ranking purposes the Human Proteome Folding - Phase 2 is the worst project for me to do.

PPR - points per result
PPH - points per hour
HPR - hours per result

In light of the above (and my disappointing points stats since I switched to HPF), I have now switched the entire fleet over to GFAM.
