Morning Update

Validation is now reported to have resumed. smile Obviously there's a backlog to catch up on si expect an abnormally low lunch crunch.

The lunchcrunch totalled 0:047:18:13:52 hypnotized

Unfortunately the validation issue persisted across the midnight update which made a nonsense of the stats for yesterday! sad

knreed @ 1:14:38 AM May 2, 2013:
We experienced a issue over the past 18 hours that has caused a backup on the database. This means that validation is significantly behind and the stats for May 1st will be unusually low. We are resolving the problem now.

As a result the UK team totalled 0:195:17:26:55 yesterday and I think I will need to adjust the fgures when todays stats are available.

Re: Morning Update

Morning All... Another lovely morning here in the South East and great cycling weather. Hope the conditions are as nice where you are.

On the crunching front, I'm going to be taking a hit for a bit. My laptop overheated and shutdown twice yesterday, so I've dropped the CPU usage from 90 to 50%. Cooling tray on order and hoping I can push it up again soon.

Re: Morning Update

Afternoon all.

All bright and sunny over here in the West Country. Bit of a breeze but still enjoyed the cycle to work..

@Gordoma - not good on the over heating of the laptop there. No dust bunnies hibernating in it? wink

In Other News

My first Emerald badge - for HCC - is now at whim of the P/V gaoler! biggrin So I've aborted the rest of my HCC WUs so someone else can benefit. wink And yes Maugan I was being conservative in my estimate of work still to do but having had my fingers burnt finishing 119 hour short of Emerald for C4CW I wasn't going to get caught again. Back now to a broad mix of projects with DSFL as a priority before that finishes in mid-August.

In a welcome departure from previous practice, it was good to see the release of BOINC 7.0.64 announced in a "Notice" in the BOINC Mgr. smile Hopefully it will prompt more users to upgrade from the multiple versions of 6.0.xx out there that cause so many issues (esp when running multiple GPU WUs).

Re: In Other News

So, I'm on holiday at the moment.... IN ENGLAND! It's nice to be back in the uk biggrin biggrin

I just checked and I'm down to 6 hcc wu on one of my machines. I'll have to make sure I switch to another project or that machine might start running out. GFAM and DSFL for me now, with 107 and 206 days respectively from the time left table. If those are accurate I should get up to about 2 years for both of them. I just hope they are right jonnieb-uk as DSFL should last longer of the two is the table is right. Once again if you have secret info lets hear it.

Re: In Other News

I didn't know GFAM was finishing before DSFL (or there is a table for that matter). Time to switch tasks to GFAM then.
