Re: Morning Update

I haven't tried 3D tv, but have been unimpressed with the couple of movies I've send recently. Some bits work but most of it seems to be barely different to the normal 2D.

Maybe time to try going back to homemade 3D glasses, get those red and green sweetie wrappers at the ready!

Had a good day yesterday with Personal Bests for RT/Points/Results, gaining a UK Team Points Ranking (#12) & getting Global #4000 Results Ranking smile, due to Pending Validation queue dropping significantly and most of my recent results have been validated quickly (were closer to their deadlines than normal).

Pending Validation queue now down to 8 pages, hence another good morning crunch. Usually oscillates between 6 and 28 pages.

Hopefully will grab another UK Team Points Ranking (#11) today wink ...like yesterday biggrin Long way to go to get into any Top #10... sleep. Be interesting what happens when GPU ends.

This mornings rankings prior to Lunch Crunch:
10	dubmail.net	22,644,314
11 arkangath 19,903,537
12 Ian_UK 19,874,186

Re: LunchCrunch Report

G'day themooncrescent. First of all, I'm sorry for your summer shutdown, hopefully you'll be back to full strength next winter (remind your better half that heating the house with science is far better than heating water and pumping it around metal pipes with an electric pump).

Regarding your 3d experience, if it was an active 3d tv, remember it's a demo setup, so the batteries in the glasses could have been on the way out, or there could have been IR interference if there were other TVs on display.

The fact that you saw a blurred image suggests that the glasses were faulty rather than you not being able to process the 3d image, unless you keep walking into things.

Guv'nor, your fleet is amazing, I'm a little limited on space and power but would like to work my way up to 8 systems if I can (one step at a time). And jonnieb-uk, keep up the good work, you're awesome.

To everyone else in the team, keep up the good work, and congratulations to everyone with recent PBs and milestones.

While I'm on, the GPU work ends in a week, so I'll be back to around 70k ppd.

Caine is my gaming PC, and I didn't fancy rushing the planned rebuild during the week (especially not while on-call), so have postponed it until tomorrow. Fingers crossed it'll go smoothly, and I can catch the end of the GPU-run for HCC.

Given that I have only one machine doing GPU-work, and I have 46 cores working on CPU WUs, the end of HCC-GPU won't affect me too much...

Data Tables

Several people have tried posting data tables in recent days with varying degrees of success. The essential trick is to enclose the data within tags [ code] [ /code] (without the leading space) which will make a remarkable improvement in the presentation of the data! wink

Inserting the tags doesn't solve all the issues - blame the antiquated forum software - but the data becomes easier to assimilate and there's always the option to do some tinkering to improve the presentation further.

Hope it helps! wink

Re: Morning Report

Congratulations to everyone milestones. Just exceeded 20 million points (20,035,640) biggrin. Was wondering how my recent crunching compared to rest of team, so updated tired old signature. 7th not bad smile.

I think your right, tried it out in another store and I did get the effect, also got a headache to boot laughing
