Re: UK

I saw that, I've had all the intermittent projects active to see if there are any WUs for them for a while now and I've done a total of 3 work units for all of them since coming back.

Re: UK

Another advance in the Rankings, this time on Points as the UK team moves to #66 passing Ubuntu Linux biggrin

Crunching@EVGA #65 become the new target estimated at 3 days.

Crunching@EVGA continue in the sights as a Results target in 1-2 days. smile

Motto for the weekend: Less gaming, More crunching! wink

Interestingly, despite our relatively poor RT performance over the past week, we continue to close the gap on the team's Runtime targets:
UK Team Ranking - Targets
RunTime Days to close
Name Gap - days Net Crunch Current Mar-15 Dec-31
IBM Austin 1,987 282 7 13 104
SWARH 5,450 362 15 21 114
ek$i sozluk cpu power 3,482 218 16 21 132
Finland 3,898 227 17 24 126
Ars Technica 3,216 166 19 24 151
BRASIL 8,928 227 39 42 139

Note that SWARH are effectively dead in the water having crunched less than 24hrs in the past week. smile

Re: UK

Good morning team.

I hope all is well. It looks like we have made good progress in the team rankings of late. Keep up the good work everyone.

I have 2 GPUs running this weekend so I should make up for my disappointing performance of late.

Re: UK

Having just posted in another thread about multiple GPU WUs on a single CPU core I thought it might be useful to repost the link (originally posted by crooks_uk) for a handy utility which sets up a app_config.xml file. It enables you to tinker to find the best setting for your computer.

Note: You must be using BOINC 7.0.40 or higher but not 7.0.58 which has issues!

I used the utility available in Section 3 of the below link so I didn't have to manually edit the app_info.xml app_config.xml file after installing Boinc version 7.0.42. Found it very easy to set up. http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=174138

(I think) app_info is outdated and replaced by app_config which is much simpler to operate

Be aware of section 5 (troubleshooting), the info is NOT correct:

"AMD 6970: 4 WU": I have a HD 6970 (2gb), tried running 4 and they all errored out, temp went straight to 80+ and the load hit 100% straight away.. 2 is the best for any 6000 series in my experience.

"AMD 7770: 3-4 WU": Sorry, but total nonsense, my HD 7770 (2gb), is running as smooth as a baby's bum with 8 at once on 2 cores, temp is good (48 average), and the load is about 92% (I did read of someone running 24 GPU's on a HD 7770, but I won't risk it).
